WCDH may have been officially incorporated in 2007, but for some years prior to its inception, Rick and Camilla were a team that successfully completed many renovations and full-builds.
Camilla joined Rick part-time in 1999, and after WCDH’s incorporation, she moved to full-time.
The current WCDH team has over 100 years of combined experience, and we enjoy renovations equally as much as custom builds. Both give different, intriguing challenges.

Camilla specializes in interior and exterior designs for both renovations and full custom homes.
She is keenly attuned to all of her clients, which means your unique home design is exactly what you’ve been dreaming of.
Camilla is inspired by the balance between dreams, reality, and (of course) functionality.
She’s excellent at making someone’s dream home fit into their budget. The sheer originality of custom homes is what keeps her designing.
Before WCDH was established, Rick worked with his father on renovations. He started in 1982, and mainly worked on exterior renos. After a few years, Rick struck out on his own and began full-scale renovations, which his father eventually took part in.
In 1995, Rick built his first custom home in Mission. Soon after it was complete, Rick received his builder’s license.
His renovation experience has proven to be an invaluable asset to him as a custom home builder. When one works on a renovation project, nothing is what it seems. When you open a wall, things come out of the woodwork. You have to make things work on the fly rather than follow a strict plan. Renovations require troubleshooting and impeccable innovation. What will work best for this exact structure?
That kind of question is what gives Rick such an edge with custom building. He’s able to make confident, structurally-sound and design-relevant decisions.

The contractors we have on our team are trustworthy, quality workers who produce quality.
We don’t work with fly by night, cheap contractors because that would derail any chance of building you your dream.
For example, we’ve been partnered with our cabinet and flooring contractors for 20+ years. Our team is a well-oiled machine, with every piece clicked into the perfect place.
During the first few conversations about your dream home, you’re going to mention small details you may not even notice you’re saying. We always notice. Perhaps you say something about the window height in the office, or you casually bring up how nice it is when a kitchen has soft-close drawers.
Plus, there’s going to be things you might not even THINK about talking about. Don’t worry, we know all of the questions we need to ask you. Again, we want your custom home to be the physical embodiment of your dream.
